TRINITY MEN'S LAXMEN LOSE
AT EASTERN CONNECTICUT
Willimantic, Conn. - Junior attackman Marc DiGiovanni (Wilton, Conn.) had four goals and an assist to lead the Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors to an 11-4 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in men’s lacrosse action this afternoon. Trinity drops to 1-5 overall with its second straight loss, while the Warriors, ranked No. 5 in New England, improve to 6-2 with its 27th consecutive home victory. The Bantams were the last team to beat Eastern Connecticut in Willimantic, 10-9, in overtime in 1999.
Trinity managed just one goal over the first 26 minutes of the game and had 14 total shots on goal for the game. Senior tri-captain Sean Rohan (South Hadley, Mass.) scored twice for Trinity and junior attackman Ravi Pillay (Church Falls, Va.) had 1 pair of assists. Bantam senior goalie Eric Wilson (West Hartford, Conn.) had 17 saves.
