TRINITY POSTS COMEBACK WIN IN MEN'S LAX OPENER

Baltimore, Md. - Freshman attackman James Skiff (Hollywood, Calif.) notched five goals and one assist in his collegiate debut to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 10-8 win over the Widener University Pioneers in the its men's lacrosse season opener this afternoon at Johns Hopkins University. Trinity, ranked No. 7 in New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Division III, improves 1-0, while Widener falls to 1-4.

Trinity fell behind 5-3 after the first two quarters, but outscored the Pioneers, 7-3, in the second half including five goals in the fourth quarter. Skiff scored three of the Bantam goals in the final frame. Trinity senior attackman Rob Morse (Winchester, Mass.) added a pair of goals and junior attackman Sean Rohan (South Hadley, Mass.) totaled one goal and two assists.

Freshman middie K. J. Bolkcum (Point Lookout, N.Y.) scored three goals and sophomore midfielder Steve Littlewodd (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.) had two goals and two assists for the Pioneers. Trinity sophomore goalie Eric Wilson (West Hartford, Conn.) made 11 saves in his first career start, while sophomore Pat Carmack (Chantilly, Va.) stopped 12 shots for Widener.
