Sports update, men's lacrosse vs. Wesleyan, 4/19/00
ACHTERHOF LIFTS TRINITY PAST WESLEYAN
Hartford, CT -Junior David Achterhof (Fairfax, VA) provided the heroics for
Trinity College with the game winning goal with 16 seconds remaining in the
game while senior Andy Hayes (Philadelphia, PA) led the Bantams with four
goals.
Rob Wilcox (Brooklyn,NY) tied the game up at 8 with 1:44 left to
play in the game for Wesleyan University, which proved to not be enough as
Trinity rolls on with a record of 9-1 and a ranking of 19th in the nation
while Wesleyan falls to a record of 8-3.
Sophomore, Sean Rohan (South Hadley, MA) tied the game up at one
early on and also tallied an assist for the Bantams. Trinity senior
tri-captain goalkeeper Matt Jerry (Acton, MA) had 15 saves.
