TRINITY MEN'S ICE HOCKEY TROUNCES TUFTS
West Hartford, Conn.- Senior co-captains Greg O'Leary (Reading, Mass.) and Andrew Halder (Rivers Edge, N.J.) each scored a goal in their final regular season home games to lead the Trinity College Bantams to an 8-3 victory over the visiting Tufts University Jumbos in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's ice hockey action this evening at the Kingswood-Oxford rink. The Bantams finish the regular season with a record of 16-5-2 overall and 15-3-1 in the NESCAC. The loss drops the Jumbos to 7-9-4 overall and 7-10-2 in the NESCAC. Trinity will host Williams in the NESCAC Championship Tournament first round on Sat., Mar. 1 at 4 p.m.
Sophomore forward Joe Ori (Niles, Ill.) and freshman forward Bryan Crabtree (North Andover, Mass.) each had a pair of goals for the Bantam in a well-balanced scoring attack. Bantam sophomore forward Ryan Stevens (Concord, N.H.) electrified the crowd in the second period when he took the puck from the blue line and beat two defenders before flipping in a wrist shot at an impossible angle for another Trinity score.
