O’LEARY HAT TRICK LEADS TRINITY MEN’S
ICE HOCKEY TO EASY WIN AT UMASS-BOSTON

 

Boston, Mass.- Senior co-captain forward Greg O’Leary (Reading, Mass.) scored three goals and assisted on a fourth to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 10-0 win over the University of Massachusetts-Boston Beacons in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)/Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East men’s ice hockey action this afternoon.  Trinity improves to 3-1-1 overall and 3-0 in the NESCAC with its first win in the last three games, while the Beacons fall to 0-4 overall and in the ECAC East

The Bantams outshot the Beacons, 57-14, and scored six goals in the second period to take an 8-0 lead.  Trinity sophomore forward Jeff Natale (Hamden, Conn.) had two goals and one assist, while junior forward Dan Gyllstrom (Hudson, Mass.) and sophomore forward Ryan Stevens (Concord, N.H.) netted a goal and an assist each.  Sophomore forward Joe Ori (Niles, Ill.) assisted on three scores, and freshman forwards Richard  Masucci (Winthrop, Mass.) and Cameron Finch (Acton, Mass.) scored their first career goals for the Bantams.  Sophomore goalie Doug Kisielius (Park Ridge, Ill.)  needed to make just 14 saves to earn the shutour victory in goal for Trinity.
