TRINITY MEN’S ICE HOCKEY WIN
STREAK ENDS AT BOWDOIN

Brunswick, Maine. – Sophomore forward John Landry (Montreal, Quebec) recorded a hat trick to lead the Bowdoin College Polar Bears to an 8-3 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men’s ice hockey action this evening.  Trinity, ranked No. 9 in the nation, falls 11-3-2 overall and 10-1-1 in the NESCAC with its first loss in its lasteight games.  Bowdoin, ranked No. 8 in the nation, improves to 12-2-1 overall and 10-1-1 in the league.

Bowdoin took control of a 1-1 game in the second frame, scoring four goals in the period to take a 5-2 lead.  The Polar Bears added two more scores in the third stanza before Trinity freshman forward Cameron Finch (Acton, Mass.) closed the scoring with an unassisted goal with 2:22 left on the clock. 

Bantam junior defenseman Timothy Joncas (Branford, Conn.) and junior forward Dan Gyllstrom (Hudson, Mass.) scored for the visitors with Gyllstrom adding an assist.  Trinity sophomore goaltender Doug Kisielius (Park Ridge, Ill.) had 38 saves, matched by 27 for Bowdoin junior netminder Mike Healey (Hamden, Conn.).
