TRINITY MEN’S ICE HOCKEY EDGES
UNDEFEATED BABSON ON ORI GOALS

Babason Park, Mass - Sophomore forward Joseph Ori (Niles, Ill.) had two goals and two assists, including the game-tying goal with 13 seconds left and the game-winning, unassisted score in overtime, to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 6-5 win over the Babson College Beavers in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)/Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East men’s ice hockey action this afternoon.  Trinity improves to 4-1-1 overall and remainsn perfect at 4-0 in the NESCAC, while the Beavers drop to 5-1-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the ECAC East with their first loss of the season.

After skating to a 1-0 lead after the first period on a goal by sophomore forward, Jeff Natale (Hamden, Conn.), Trinity outscored Babson, 3-1, in the second period on goals by freshman forward Cameron Finch (Acton, Mass.), junior forward Dan Gyllstrom (Hudson, Mass.), and a second by Natale.  Gyllstrom and Natale scored 26 seconds apart in the final minute of the second stanza to give Trinity a 4-1 lead.

The Beavers rallied in the third period with four unanswered goals, including three on power plays, to take a 5-4 lead with under five minutes left to play in regulation.  Trinity pulled its goalie with just over one minute on the clock, and junior defenseman Tim Joncas (Branford, Conn.) recorded his third assist of the day on a pass to Ori for thevgame-tying score with 13 ticks remaining. 

Ori added the game-winner 3:48 into the extra frame to finish with two goals and two assists, while Natale had two goals and one assist for the Bantams.  Trinity sophomore goalie Doug Kisielius (Park Ridge, Ill.) finished with 18 saves, while Beaver forward James LaFreniere (Southboro, Mass.) had a goal and two assists and Jason Hart (Millburn, N.J.) stopped 34 shots between the pipes.
