TRINITY AND ST. ANSELM MEN’S ICE
HOCKEY TEAMS SKATE TO 1-1 TIE

West Hartford, Conn. - Senior goalie Geoff Faulkner (Westerville, Ohio) made 26 saves to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 1-1 against the visiting St. Anselm College Hawks in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)/Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East men’s ice hockey this evening at Kingswood-Oxford Rink. Trinity moves to 6-5-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the NESCAC, while the Hawks are 5-3-4 overall and 1-2-4 in the ECAC East.

Trinity freshman Joseph Ori (Niles, Ill.) scored the Bantam goal 9:40 into the game on an assist from classmate Jeff Natale (Hamden, Conn.). Faulkner and the Trinity blue-liners held St. Anselm at bay until Hawk sophomore defenseman Jack Connors (Woburn, Mass.) tied the score with 2:16 remaining in the second frame.

St. Anselm senior netminder Andrew Zoppo (Needham, Mass.) held Trinity scoreless for the final 55 minutes, turning away 40 shots including a one-on-one breakaway opportunity by Bantam sophomore forward Colin Wilson-Murphy (Southboro, Mass.) with two minutes remaining in regulation.
