HANSON HAT TRICK GIVES CONN. COLLEGE WIN
OVER TRINITY WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY

West Hartford, Conn. - Freshman forward Janet Hanson (Ipswich, Mass.) scored three goals to lead the visiting Connecticut College Camels to a 4-1 win over the Trinity College Bantams in Eastern College Athletic Conference women's ice hockey action this evening at Kingswood-Oxford rink. Trinity falls to 1-15-2 overall and 1-12-1 in the ECAC with its eighth straight loss, while Connecticut College improves to 7-9 overall and 3-10 in the ECAC.

The Bantams took a 1-0 lead 4:23 into the game on an unassisted goal by freshman forward Sarah Shoukimas (Chestnut Hill, Mass.). The Camels answered :56 later on Hanson's first score of the game on a power play, and took the lead :42 seconds after that, when senior forward Liz Hall (Tiverton, R.I.) netted another Camel goal.

Hanson added two more goals for Connecticut College in the second period, and junior goalie Anna Trafton (Topsham, Maine) held Trinity scoreless for the final 55:37 of the game with 16 saves. Freshman goalie Blair Kurtz (Encino, Calif.) had 39 saves for the Bantams..
