SPRINGFIELD MEN'S BASKETBALL
ENDS TRINITY WINNING STREAK

Springfield, Mass. - Junior forward Michael Parker (Kingston, N.Y.) tallied 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Springfield College Pride to an 81-57 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in men’s basketball action this evening. Trinity, which last played on Dec. 9, falls to 6-2 with its first loss in its last seven games. The Pride improves to 7-4 with its fourth consecutive victory.

Springfield junior center Keith Arnold (Orleans, Mass.) joined Parker in double figures with a team-high 17 points, while senior guard Lydell Capers (New York, N.Y.) added 14 points and 10 boards and junior guard John Gleason (Northampton, Mass.) scored 15 points.

Trinity junior forward Colin Tabb (Somers, Conn.) and senior guard Mike LaBella (Middletown, Conn.) scored 12 points each, and junior forward Brian Dion (East Haven, Conn.) grabbed 10 rebounds. The Bantams shot just 29 percent from the field and went to the foul line 19 times less than the Pride.
