BAH SWATS SALVE'S CHANCES
AGAINST TRINITY MEN'S BASKETBALL
Newport, R.I. - Senior center Julian Bah (Concord, Mass.) blocked a College-record 11 shots and added 10 points and nine rebounds to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 57-54 win over the Salve Regina University Seahwaks in mens basketball action this evening. Trinity, which wins its fifth consecutive game after a two-point loss in the season opener, improves to 5-1. Salve Regina falls to 5-2 with its first-ever loss in Rodgers Rec Center.
Trinity built a 28-19 lead at the half and held off a second half rally by the Seahawks. Senior guard Mike Keohane (Belmont, Mass.) and junior captain swingman Colin Tabb (Somers, Conn.) paced Trinity in scoring with 12 points each. Neither team was successful on offense, as Trinity shot 35.3 percent from the field but held the Seahawks to 28.1 percent.
Trinity senior guard Scott Wallach (Scarsdale, N.Y.) scored 10 points off the bench and junior forward Brian Dion (East Haven, Conn.) grabbed a team-high nine boards. Senior guard David Keddy (Methuen, Mass.) paced Salve Regina with 11 points.
