KEOHANE KEYS VICTORY AT RPI
FOR TRINITY MEN'S BASKETBALL

Hartford, Conn. - Senior guard Mike Keohane (Belmont, Mass.) scored a game-high 20 points to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 69-58 win over the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute of Technology Red Hawks in men’s basketball action this afternoon. Trinity, ranked No. 5 in the NCAA Division III Northeast Poll, improves to 15-3 and is 4-1 in the NESCAC with its fourth straight win. Rensselaer falls to 10-9 with its second loss in a row.

Trinity controlled the game throughout, taking a 41-24 lead at the half and maintaining at least an eight point lead for the entire second half. The Bantams shot 56.6 percent from the field in the first half and capitalized on poor free throw shooting by the Red Hawks who made just seven out of 17 shots from the line in the game.

Keohane made eight out of 11 shots from the field and added five assists, while junior forward Colin Tabb (Somers, Conn.) had 11 points and six rebounds and senior guard Michael LaBella (Middletown, Conn.) totaled eight points and six assists for Trinity.

Senior guard Bob Hurley (Dushore, Pa.) and junior center Kyle Kornelius (Kenia, Alaska) paced Rensselaer with 12 points each. Kornelius also pulled down nine rebounds for the Red Hawks. Senior guard Tom Carrk (Albany, N.Y.) scored 11 points with three steals for Rensselaer.
