CLARK LEADS COLBY MEN'S BASKETBALL OVER TRINITY

Waterville, Maine - Senior forward Sam Clark (Woolrich, Maine) scored 20 points with 10 rebounds to lead the Colby College White Mules to a 76-49 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference men’s basketball action this afternoon.

Trinity, which loses for the second time in the last three games, falls to 16-5 and 5-3 in the NESCAC. Colby improves to 16-7 and 6-2 in the league with their third straight win. Trinity, ranked No. 4 in the NCAA Division III Northeast Region poll, would have clinched the No. 1 seed in the NESCAC Championship Tournament with a win but must now defeat Bowdoin tomorrow to ensure a home game in the first round.

Colby boasted three double-digit scorers, led by Clark and junior forward Damien Strathorn (Menlo Park, Calif.) with 20 points each. Strathorn, who had missed the previous four games with an injury, made four three-pointers, while senior guard Zeb Davis (Skowhegan, Maine) added 12 points and senior forward Jake Civiello (Bangor, Maine) dished out six assists.

Trinity junior center Julian Bah (Concord, Mass.) was the lone Bantam double-digit scorer with 14 points and blocked three shots, while junior forward Colin Tabb (Somers, Conn.) grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. The Bantams shot 33.3 percent from the field, including 13 percent from three-point range en route to their lowest point total and their most lopsided loss of the season.
