TABB LEADS TRINITY MEN'S BASKETBALL
TO WIN COAST GUARD
New London, Conn. - Junior captain swingman Colin Tabb (Somers, Conn.) scored a game-high 21 points to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 73-56 win over the United States Coast Guard Academy Bears in mens basketball action this evening. Trinity, which wins its fourth consecutive game after a two-point loss in the season opener, improves to 4-1. Coast Guard falls to 1-4 with its third loss in a row.
Tabb made seven of 14 shots from the field and five of eight from three-point range, pulled down eight boards and notched three assists. Senior co-captain forward Blake McKinney (York, Pa.) paced the Bears with 18 points.
Junior forward Brian Dion (East Haven, Conn.) added 15 points, making seven of 11 field goals, and grabbed eight rebounds, while senior center Julian Bah (Concord, Mass.) totaled 11 points and five rebounds. The Trinity frontcourt dominated inside as Trinity outrebounded the Bears, 45-32. Trinity held Coast Guard to nine field goals and 21 points in the first half.
