TABB AND LABELLA HELP TRINITY
MEN'S BASKETBALL WIN AT CLARK

Worcester, Mass.- Junior forward Colin Tabb (Somers, Conn.) and senior guard Michael LaBella (Middletown, Conn.) combined for 37 points to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 66-61 win over the Clark University Cougars in men’s basketball action this evening. Trinity improves to 13-3 and is 3-1 in the NESCAC with its second straight win, while the Cougars, ranked No. 2 in the NCAA Division III Northeast region poll, fall to 13-4 with their first home loss of the season and their first loss in the last five games.

After Clark took a 37-28 lead at the half, the Bantams quickly tied the score on successive three-pointers by LaBella, fellow senior guard Mike Keohane (Belmont, Mass.), and Tabb early in the second half. With 6:00 remaining in the game and the score knotted at 52-52, the Cougars scored four straight points in the next minute. Tabb made a pair of foul shots, LaBella hit another three-pointer, and junior forward Bryan Dion (East Haven, Conn.) made two free throws to give the lead back to Trinity at 59-56 with 2:30 left in the contest.

Tabb had 19 points and a team-high 10 rebounds and LaBella made six out of eight shots from the field and four out of five three-point attempts to finish with a season-high 18 points, along with three steals. Dion added 11 points and six boards for the Bantams.

Sophomore center Chris Bagdis (Paxton, Mass.) paced the Cougars with 14 points, while classmate Sean Fleming (Smithfield, R.I.) had 12 points and freshman guard Dave McNamara (Worcester, Mass.) added 11 points.
