TRINITY MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY WINS AMHERST INVITATIONAL

Amherst, Mass.- Sophomore Ryan Bak (Suffield, Conn.) and senior co-captain Todd Markelz (Homer, Alaska) came in second and fourth place overall to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a first-pace finish at the Amherst College Men’s Cross Country Invitational this afternoon.

Sophomore Leeann Rheaume (Pittsfield, Mass.) finished fifth in the women’s race to help Trinity to a fourth-place performance. It was the season-opening meet for the Bantam harriers.

The Bantam men, coached by George Suitor, placed four runners in the top eight as sophomore James Emord (Bridgewater, Mass.) came in fifth, one second behind Markelz, and classmate Ryan Lerner (Manchester, Conn.) was eighth.
