TRINITY FIELD HOCKEY FALLS AT MIDDLEBURY
Middlebury, Vt. - Sophomore and freshman forwards Sydney Atkins (Marblehead, Mass.) and Allison Smith (Darien, Conn.) each scored two goals to lead the Middlebury College Panthers to a 6-1 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) field hockey action this afternoon. Trinity falls to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the NESCAC, while Middlebury, improves to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the league. Trinity junior forward Kristen Grabowski (Burlington, Conn.) scored the lone goal for the Bantams at the 18:53 mark of the first half. Bantam junior goalie Gwen Gillespie (Gates Mills, Ohio) had 15 saves.
