GRATRY GOAL GIVES TRINITY FIELD
HOCKEY OVERTIME WIN OVER WILLIAMS
Hartford, Conn. -- Freshman forward Beatrice Gratry (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) scored the game-winning goal with 3:58 left in overtime to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 2-1 win over the visiting Williams College Ephs in field hockey action this afternoon. Trinity improves to 4-4 for the season and 1-2 in NESCAC, while the Ephs fall to 3-3 overall.
Williams started the scoring with 31:35 remaining in the first half when Molly
Jennings (Greenwich, Conn.) fed junior forward Stephanie Noering
(Cohasset, Mass.) for a score. Gratry scored a goal assisted by Susan
Hoppock (Chevy Chase, Md.) to tie the score with 8:38 remaining in the
second half.
With 3:58 to go in the second overtime Gratry scored her second goal of the day
to lift Trinity over Williams.
