TRINITY FIELD HOCKEY BEATS PLYMOUTH STATE
FOR PARMENTER'S 100TH CAREER WIN
Worcester, Mass.- Senior goalkeeper Jessica Martin (Fort Myers, Fla.) made 15 saves and recorded her first shutout of the season to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 2-0 win over the Plymouth State College Panthers in field hockey action this afternoon at Worcester State College.
Trinity, which ends a two-game losing streak, evens its season record at 2-2, while Plymouth State falls to 3-2. The win is the 100th in the field hockey coaching career of Bantam Head Coach Anne Parmenter, who came to Trinity this season after a highly successful stint at Connecticut College. Parmenter has a 100-98-12 combined record at the two NESCAC schools.
Breaking a 0-0 tie, Trinity senior co-captain forward Heather Standring (Spencer, Mass.) netted an unassisted goal with 15:40 remaining in the game. Fellow senior co-captain Mary Jacobs (Malvern, Pa.) fed freshman forward Beatrice Gratry (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) late in the second half to account for the 2-0 final score.
