TRINITY FIELD HOCKEY LOSES IN OVERTIME
Hartford, Conn. - Trinity suffered a heart-breaking 2-1 loss to Bowdoin this afternoon in NESCAC field hockey. Jessica Ross (Spencer, MA) scored an unassisted goal with just over four minutes left in the first overtime period to give the Polar Bears the victory.
Trinity scored their lone goal with 10:30 left in the first half when Jennifer Latiff (Rosemont, Pa.) scored off a great pass from Heather Sandring (Spencer, Mass.). Trinity goalie Jessica Martin (Fort Myers, Fla.) kept the Bantams in the game by saving 26 shots before giving up the winning goal in overtime. Trinity dips to 5-6, while Bowdoin improves their record to 9-2.
