TRINITY LOSES SEASON FINALE IN FIELD HOCKEY AT MIDDLEBURY

     Middlebury, Vt. - Sophomore Rebecca Randall (Chatham, Mass.)made four
saves and recorded a shutout to lead the Middlebury College Panthers toa
2-0 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small
College Athletic Conference women's soccer action this afternoon. 
     Trinity finishes the season with a 1-13 record and an 0-10 mark in the
NESCAC, while the Panthers end up at 5-9 overall and 4-5 in the league.
     Middlebury's first goal came from senior Sarah Theall (Needham, Mass.),
who found the back of the net at 9:12. Exactly two minutes later, 
the Panthers struck again, when sophomore Kate Perine (Middlebury, Vt.)
scored. 
     The Middlebury defense denied numerous Trinity chances in the second
half to close out the victory. Junior Jess Martin (Fort Myers, Fla.) was
strong in net for Trinity, stopping six shots.
