WPI OUTSCORES TRINITY BASEBALL

DESPITE CYCLE FOR DOLLIVER

Hartford, Conn.- Alex Aimetti (Waterbury, Conn.)  had four hits to lead the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Engineers to a 14-12 win over the Trinity College Bantams in baseball action on a windy afternoon in near freezing weather.  Trinity falls to 8-5 in its home opener, while the Engineers improve to 7-10.

Senior Rob Dolliver (Norwich, Conn.) hit for the cycle and drove in five runs to lead the Trinity offensive effort, but a five run fourth inning for the fourth frame gave Worcester Tech the lead for good at 9-6.  Nick Angelini (Braintree, Mass.) was knocked out of the game as a pitcher in the fourth inning but had a home run and three RBI on offense for the Engineers.  Senior co-captain Kurt Piantek (Wallingford, Conn.) had three hits for Trinity.
