WESTCOTT WINS FIRST ON THE MOUND
IN TRINITY BASEBALL SPLIT AGAINST ROWAN

Cape Coral, Fla. - Sophomore right-hander Joe Westcott (Holyoke, Mass.) allowed seven hits and four runs over six innings to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 6-4 win in the second game and a split in the doubleheader against the Rowan University Profs in the Gene Cusic Baseball Classic this afternoon. Trinity, which lost the first game, 5-2, is now 2-2 for the season, while Profs drop to 5-1 with their first loss of the season.

Bantam senior righty Craig Tredenick (Cornwall, Prince Edward Island) earned his first career save, pitching a scoreless seventh inning, and sophomore Andrew Fries (Dublin, Ohio) belted his first home run of the season. The win was the first in Westcott's career. Trinity sophomore right-hander hurler Mark Tremblay (Manchester, N.H.) took the loss in the early game.
