TIDMARSH LEADS TRINITY BASEBALL
TO A SPLIT WITH PLYMOUTH STATE
Fort Myers, Fla. - Junior right-hander Kevin Tidmarsh (Meriden, Conn.) threw a seven inning, shut-out in the first game of a double header to give the Trinity College Bantams a split with the Plymouth State Panthers in baseball action this afternoon in the Gene Cusic Classic. The split of the double header runs the Bantams record to 5-3 and Plymouth State to 5-3.
Tidmarsh struck out eight batters and surrendered only four hits, while junior CF Angel Resto (Framingham, Mass.) continued his hot play by blasting his third homerun of the season in the sixth inning of game one.
In the second game of the day, Plymouth State senior Owen Burke (Sanbornton, N.H.) went seven innings, allowing only four hits to the Bantams to pick up his second victory of the season. Trinity senior 3B Jayme Dorr (Osterville, Mass.) had two hits in the losing effort.
