DORR LEADS TRINITY BASEBALL
TO SWEEP AGAINST MIDDLEBURY

Hartford, Conn. - Senior co-captain Jayme Dorr (Osterville, Mass.) belted a homerun in each game, including a grand slam in the first game, leading the Trinity College Bantams to a 6/9-2/4 sweep of the visiting Middlebury College Panthers in baseball action this afternoon. Trinity ranked No. 3 in New England and No. 29 in the nation, improves to 16-7, while the Panthers drop to 11-7-1.

Trinity junior right-hander Kevin Tidmarsh (Meriden, Conn.) improved to his record to 6-0 with a complete game in the opener, while sophomore righty Mark Tremblay (Hooksett, N.H.) pitched five strong innings for the Bantams in the nightcap. Bantam senior co-captain Kurt Piantek (Wallingford, Conn.) was 3-for-3 in the second game and blasted his team-leading, 10th four-bagger of the season, while junior Eric Shattenkirk (New Rochelle, N.Y.) was 2-for-3 with a homer in the first game. Senior Jason Hanna (Fairfield, Conn.) had three hits on the day, including a homerun in the first game for Middlebury.
