SHATTENKIRK BLASTS TWO HOMERS IN TRINITY BASEBALL SWEEP AGAINST COLBY

Waterville, Maine - Junior Eric Shattenkirk (New Rochelle, N.Y.) hit two home runs to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 19-9 win in the second game and a sweep of both the day’s doubleheader and the weekend’s three-game series against the Colby College White Mules in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East Division baseball action this afternoon.

Trinity, ranked No. 6 in New England, improves to 11-5 overall and 5-1 in the NESCAC, while the White Mules drop to 5-8-1 overall and 0-4 in the league.  Trinity, which was the home team since the games were moved to Waterville due to heavy rain in Connecticut, took the second game, 5-1.
