NATALE LEADS OFFENSIVE ONSLAUGHT
IN TRINITY WIN OVER COLBY ON THE DIAMOND

Waterville, Maine - Sophomore Jeff Natale (Hamden, Conn.) went 5-for-6 with five runs, a double, and two home runs to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 17-6 win over the Colby College White Mules in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East Division baseball action this afternoon. Trinity, ranked No. 6 in New England, improves to 9-5 overall and 3-1 in the NESCAC East with the win in its first game in the month of April, while the White Mules drop to 5-6-1 overall and 0-2 in the league. The game, which was moved to Colby due to heavy rain in Connecticut, is the first of a three-game series in which the Bantams will serve as the home team for each game.

Trinity scored in every inning but the second and pounded out 17 hits en route to the easy victory. Bantam senior Rob Dolliver (Norwich, Conn.) also belted a pair of home runs, while senior co-captain Kurt Piantek (Wallingford, Conn.) went 2-for-3 with one homer, and sophomore Rob O’Leary (Easton, Mass.) had two doubles. Junior starter Kevin Tidmarsh (Meriden, Conn.) pitched seven innings for the win.  Junior Eric Roy (Lisbon Falls, Maine) had three hits for Colby.
