TIDMARSH WINS THIRD IN A ROW
AS TRINITY BASEBALL BOMBS BOWDOIN

Hartford, Conn.- Sophomore right-hander Kevin Tidmarsh (Meriden, Conn.) tossed a five-hit shutout with nine strikeouts to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 9-0 win over the visiting Bowdoin College Polar Bears in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East Division baseball opener for both teams.

Trinity, ranked No. 4 in New England, improves to 9-3 overall with its third straight win, while Bowdoin drops to 5-5 The Bantams opened up a 4-0 game with five runs in the eighth inning, taking advantage of four Bowdoin errors. Polar Bear left Scott Jamieson (Marshfield, Mass.) allowed eight hits and four earned runs in eight innings on the mound.
