TRINITY BASEBALL SMACKS MESSIAH
Fort Myers, Fla.- Trinity junior Nick Callini (Westfield, Mass.) had three hits and four RBI to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 12-6 win over the Messiah College Falcons in the Gene Cusic Baseball Classic. The Bantams are now 4-1 for the season, while Messiah drops to 5-4.
Trinity junior Greg Spanos (Auburn, Mass.) pitched five innings to record the win in his season debut on the mound, and freshman right-hander Kevin Tidmarsh (Meriden, Conn.) went the last four to earn his first career save. The duo allowed just five hits between them. Bantam junior Andrew Freimuth (Bristol, Conn.) smashed his second homer of the season.
