TRINITY BASEBALL DOUBLES WESTERN CONNECTICUT TO DEATH

Danbury, Conn. - Senior third baseman Jayson Barbarotta (Trumbull, CT) led
the offensive onslaught with four hits, three runs, and two doubles as the
visiting Trinity College Bantams defeated the Western Connecticut State
University Colonials, 26-3, in baseball action this evening.  Trinity, which
is ranked No. 4 in New England and No. 22 in the nation, improves to 20-6
with its third consecutive victory.  The Colonials fall to 5-14.
 	Trinity scored in every inning but the fifth, including four in the
sixth and 11 in the ninth.  Freshman righthander Jonah Bayliss
(Williamstown, MA) pitched six solid innings, allowing two unearned runs,
two hits and striking out eight. 
	Trinity totaled 15 extra-base hits, including 13 doubles, in the
game.  Both are College records.  The 13 doubles is twice as many as the
previous record of six.
