Men's Soccer (8-3) Wins Fourth Straight

The Trinity College men's soccer team went 1-0 last week with a 2-1 comeback win against NESCAC foe Bowdoin. The Bantams will look to keep their four-game winning streak alive on Saturday at Middlebury.

Senior midfielder Dan Rudolph (Hingham, MA) tied up the score for the Bantams, and senior midfielder Mike Wilson (Longmeadow, MA) scored the game winning goal with11:51 remaining. Junior goalkeeper Tom Hambrick-Stowe (Lancaster, PA) collected four saves in the game. Hambrick-Stowe recently became the College's all-time leader in shutouts with 11 and is fourth-leading goalkeeper in the NESCAC with a .90 GAA. Wilson is 10th in the league in scoring with three goals and three assists for nine points.

Trinity moved up two spots to fifth in the NSCCA Division III New England Regional Poll this week.

Volleyball (15-12) Nets Three Wins

The Trinity College volleyball team had a busy schedule this week, posting a 3-1 record. The Bantams, coached by Fran Vandermeer (fourth season), blanked Connecticut College, 3-0, and won two of three matches in the Coast Guard Invitational. In the tournament, Trinityu lost to Wesleyan, 3-0, in the opening game, but bounced back to defeat both Roger Williams and host Coast Guard, 3-0.

Sophomore Beth Landry (Brighton, MI) notched eight kills ands seven digs and junior defensive specialist Angie DeMartino (West Barnstable, MA) recorded four aces in the win agaisnt Connecticut College. Freshman outside hitter Isabelle Krusen (Tampa, FL) collected 42 digs and junior outside hitter Megan Konieczny (Greenfield, MA) totaled 37 kills in the four matches.

Women's Soccer (3-7-1) Loses Pair

The Trinity women's soccer team, coached by Michael Smith (third season), lost twice last week, 1-0, against nationally ranked Western Connecticut and, 6-2, against Bowdoin.

Junior forward Jessica Ritter (Hartford, CT) and freshman Gena Kerr (Seattle, WA) scored in the loss against Bowdoin. Kerr's goal was the first of her Trinity career. Sophomore goalkeeper Sarah Bradley (Mansfield, CT) totaled 20 saves in the two games. Bradley is second in the NESCAC in saves with 115 and has a 1.59 GAA.

Field Hockey (3-8) Loses

The Trinity College field hockey team, coached by Kara Tierney (first season), lost to Bowdoin, 3-0, in its only game last week.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Martin (Fort Myers, FL) had 26 saves in the loss and is second in the NESCAC in saves with 157 with a 2.04 GAA.
