HARTFORD, Conn., June 9, 2000 - Trinity College women's lacrosse junior defense Mary Jacobs (Malvern, PA) was selected to the 2000 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) Division III All-American First Team, Division III All-New England First Team, and the New England Small College Athletic Conference All-NESCAC First team. Senior goalkeeper Kate Derosier (Longmeadow, MA) made the Division III All-America Second Team, and the All-New England and All-NESCAC First Team. In addition, senior captain midfielder Jessa Martin (Alexandria, VA) was named to the All-NESCAC Second Team.

The Bantams, coached by Kara Tierney (first season), posted a 3-8 record overall and 2-7 in the NESCAC this season.

Jacobs started all 11 games in the Bantam backfield, leading the Bantams with 54 ground balls and 30 turnovers caused. She also scored one goal. Derosier started all 11 games at goalkeeper, totaling 170 saves with a 11.78 GAA while playing 647 Trinity's 660 minutes. Derosier, who was a First Team All-New England selection last season as well, is the College's all-time save leader with 721. Martin started all 11 games at midfield, recording 14 goals and two assists, along with 25 ground balls and 12 turnovers caused.

Derosier will play in the IWLCA Division III North/South Senior All-Star Game on Saturday, June 10 at 4:30 p.m. on the campus of Towson State University in Towson, MD. The game is part of the STX Lacrosse Festival, which showcases women's lacrosse at all levels.
