Hartford, Conn., May 9 - Trinity College senior tri-captain Matt Gjerulff (Rockville, Md.) was selected to the 2002 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Men’s Lacrosse Senior All-Star Game. The game will be played on Sunday, May 12 at 2 p.m. at Tufts University.

Senior tri-captain Matt Gjerulff

The Trinity men’s lacrosse team, coached by Brian Silcott (1st season), finished the year with a 2-11 overall record and a 2-7 league mark. Trinity finished in ninth place in the conference, and failed to qualify for a post-season bid.

Gjerulff, a two-year captain on defense, started all 13 games for the Bantams this spring. For his career, Gjerulff played in 50 games with 36 starts and provided a toughness and leadership to the Bantam defense that helped them earn post-season bids in the springs of 2000 and 2001.
