HARTFORD, Conn., May 17 -- The Trinity College baseball team (21-7), which earned its third consecutive bid to the NCAA Division III Championship tournament as the No. 5 seed, will play No. 2 Suffolk University (36-7) on Thursday, May 18 at 3:30 p.m. in the NCAA Division III New England Regional first round.

The New England Regional tourney will be a six-team double-elimination format and wil be held at Hadlock Stadium in Portland, ME from May 18 through Sunday, May 22. In other first round games, No.1 Bridgewater State College (27-7) will play No.6 Endicott College (23-12) on Thursday, May 18 at noon and No. 3 Southern Maine (31-12), the host institution, will play No.4 Wheaton College (28-10) at 7 p.m.

The losers of the Bridgewater State/Endicott game and the Trinity/Suffolk game will play on Friday, May 19 at 12 noon. The winner of the Bridgewater State/Endicott game will play the loser of the Southern Maine/Wheaton game on May 19 at 3:30 p.m. The winner of the Trinity/Suffolk game will play the winner of the Southern Maine/Wheaton game on May 19 at 7 p.m.
