Hartford, Conn., Aug. 21- The Trinity College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were each named as Academic All-American teams for the winter and spring semesters of 2002 by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). To qualify, each squad must average at least a 2.8 GPA. The average GPA of the Bantam men’s squad was 3.169, while the women’s team averaged 3.161.

The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are both coached by Kristen Noone. The men, competing with a small roster, finished with a record of 0-10 and finished 10th at the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championships, while the women finished at 3-7 in dual meets and also 10th at the NESCAC Championships.
