Hartford, Conn., April 11 - The Trinity College wrestling team was honored by the Division III Wrestling Coaches Association for achieving one of the top 20 collective grade-point averages among NCAA Division III Wrestling programs . The Bantams placed 14th out of all Division III wrestling teams in the nation with a collective GPA of 3.089.

The Bantam wrestling squad, coached by Division III New England Coach of the Year Sebastian Amato, posted a 15-9-1 record in 2000-01 and captured its first-ever New England College Conference Wrestling Association (NECCWA) Championship title.
