Hartford, Conn., May 11 - Trinity senior tri-captain Mary Jacobs (Malvern, Pa.) was selected to the 2001 All-New England Small College Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Second Team.

Trinity has an 8-7 overall record and posted a 3-6 mark in the league, which was tied for the sixth-best in the conference. The Bantams qualified for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship Tournament as the No. 5 seed, and visit No. 4-seeded Wheaton College today at 4:30 p.m.

Jacobs, a first team All-NESCAC, All-New England, and All-American selection in 2000, has started all 15 games on defense for Head Coach Kara Tierney, scoring two goals. She led the Bantams in both ground balls with 53 and turnovers caused with 82, and added 22 draw controls. In her career, Jacobs has played in 55 games with five goals and three assists.
