| Trinity Rowers Earn Academic Awards |
HARTFORD, Conn., July 14- Trinity College seniors Isaac Bohannon (Savannah, GA) and Carrie Rorer (Villanova, PA) have each been named as National Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) for the 1999-00 season. The Bantams, coached by Erica Schwab, posted a 3-5 record and finished 13th at the New England Rowing Championships in Worcester, MA.
A student-athlete must possess a minimum grade point average of 3.50 and have participated in 75 percent of the team's races. Bohannon and Rorer were both members of the Bantams' first-varsity eight crew this season. Bohannon maintained a 3.55 grade-point average as a biology major and Rorer had a 3.78 grade-point average as a neuroscience major prior to each graduating from the College in May.
