Trinity's Quick to Compete
for U. S. Squash Team

HARTFORD, Conn., July 11- Trinity College men's squash player Preston Quick (Lakewood, CO) was selected to the 2000 United States World Team. The U. S. Team, coached for the second year in a row by Trinity Head Men's Squash and Men's Tennis Coach Paul Assaiante, will compete in the Pan American Games this summer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Quick led the Trinity team to consecutive national titles in 1998-99 and 1999-00, serving as co-captain last season. The squad posted records of 17-0 and 18-0 in the two seasons. A four-time first team All-American selection, Quick posted a 21-1 record in 1999-00, including a perfect 17-0 mark in dual matches. Quick holds the College's all-time record for wins with a 73-5 career mark. He also won the 1998-99 NISRA doubles title with teammate Joe Pentland ’99.
