Men's Squash Puts Five on All-American Squads |
Hartford, Conn., Apr. 25 - Four members of the 2000-01 Trinity College men’s squash team, which posted its third consecutive undefeated season at 17-0 and its third straight National Intercollegiate Squash Racquets Association (NISRA) Team Championship title, were named to the NISRA All-American First Team.
Senior Akhil Behl (Bombay, India), junior Lefike Ragontse (Gaborone, Botswana), sophomore Nickolas Kyme (Pembroke, Bermuda), and freshman Michael Ferriera (Stamford, England) made the first team, while junior Rohan Juneja (Bombay, India) graced the All-American Second team.
Behl, a three-time first team All-American selection after transferring to Trinity as a sophomore, posted a 9-1 dual record and an 11-3 overall mark this season for Head Coach Paul Assaiante. He finished his Trinity career with a 41-7 record.
Ragontse, a three-time All-American, posted an 8-2 dual record and a 12-3 overall mark this season, and advanced to the finals of both 2000-01 NISRA Singles Championship.
Kyme posted a 12-1 dual record and a 15-2 overall mark this season, and advanced to the semifinals of the 2000-01 NISRA Singles Championships. Ferriera posted a team-best dual record of 13-0 playing at No. 1 and a 14-1 overall mark. Juneja tied Ferriera with a team-high 13 wins against just one loss in dual matches. All three are making their first appearances on the NISA All-American Team.
