Massachusetts
Hartford, Conn., July 19 - Ten Massachusetts student-athletes were awarded varsity letters as members of the 1999-00 Trinity College men's and women's ice hockey teams. The men's ice hockey team, coached by John Dunham, finished the season with a 9-14 overall record and a 6-11 mark in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). The women's team, coached by Joe Snecinski, finished 3-14-1 overall and 2-14-1 in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Senior tri-captain defenseman Andrew Burns (Canton, MA), senior tri-captain forward Ryan Southard (Woburn, MA), and senior defenseman John O'Leary (Reading, MA) all received Gold Awards for having earned four varsity letters in their Bantam ice hockey careers.
Senior tri-captain forward Erin Sousa (Belmont, MA), junior defenseman Justin Clarke (South Hadley, MA), sophomore forwards Ryan Beale (Hingham, MA), Mark Colwell (Canton, MA), sophomore defenders Mike Sayre (Walpole, MA) and Kimberly Willis (Holyoke, MA), and freshman forward Greg O'Leary (Reading, MA) also earned varsity letters for the Trinity ice hockey squads.
