Four Bantams Make

Hartford, Conn., April 3 - Four Trinity College field hockey players were named to the 2001 National Field Hockey Coaches’ Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad. Each student-athlete honored is a starter or key reserve with a grade point average of at least 3.30. The Bantam field hockey squad, coached by Anne Parmenter, posted a 6-8 record in 2001. |

Junior Susan Hoppock |
Junior defender Susan Hoppock (Chevy Chase, Md.), junior forward Emily Fleisher (Potomac, Md.), sophomore defender Meriden Daly (Shrewsbury, Mass.), and freshman defender Ayres Heller (Bethesda, Md.) were each selected to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
Hoppock started all 14 games, recording three goals and one assist, along with one defensive save. Fleisher played in six games this season as a reserve, while Daly started all 14 games with one defensive save, and Heller played in 14 games with 11 starts, tallying one defensive save.
