Trinity Names Spencer Assistant Football Coach and Fitness Coordinator Trinity College

HARTFORD, Conn., March 24 - Trinity College has named Sean Spencer to the full-time position of assistant football coach, fitness coordinator and physical education instructor. Spencer has held the position for the past 15 months on an interim basis.

Spencer graduated from Clarion University with a bachelor's degree in political science. At Clarion, Spencer was a four-year letterwinner and an All-American defensive back in 1993.

Spencer, a Hartford native and graduate of Bulkeley High School, served as the offensive coordinator and running backs coach for the Bantams in 1998. He was an assistant football coach at Shippensburg University from 1996 to 1998, and an assistant football coach at Wesleyan University in 1995. In addition, Spencer is also the director of the National Youth Sports Program, an NCAA-sponsored summer sports camp, at Trinity.
