Hartford, Conn., May 20 - Junior Robert Dolliver (Norwich, Conn.) was named to the 2001-02 Verizon Academic All-District 1 Baseball Team. Each student-athlete honored has demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 for his career. The members are eligible to be selected to the Verizon Academic All-America Team. |

Junior Robert Dolliver |
Dolliver played in 33 games, starting 27 at both catcher and designated hitter this season, and batted .337 (35-for-104) with 25 runs, 10 doubles, five home runs, and 24 RBI. A graduate of Norwich Free Academy, Dolliver maintains a 3.22 GPA as an economics major at Trinity.
The Trinity baseball team, coached by Bill Decker (12th season, 241-130) finished with a best-ever 26-10 overall record and an 8-4 mark in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East Division. The Bantams qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament and led Tufts in the final game, 4-2, in the fifth inning before it was called due to rain.
