Trinity Athletes Named All-NESCAC
in Outdoor Track and Field

Hartford, Conn., June 10 - Sophomores Jarod Bullock (Mattapan, Mass.) and Christina Kane (Springfield, Mass.), and freshman Chris Orr (Hingham, Mass.) were named to the All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field teams. The top three finishers in each individual event warranted a spot on the All-NESCAC squad.

 

Sophomore Christina Kane

The Bantam men, coached by George Suitor, finished ninth in the 2002-03 NESCAC Championships, 10th in the New England Division III Championships, and 36th in the NCAA Division III National Championships. The Trinity women, also coached by Suitor, placed 11th in the 2002-03 NESCAC Championships and 18th in the New England Division III Championships this spring.

Bullock, an All-NESCAC selection last spring for his first place performance in the long jump, represented Trinity on the All-NESCAC team in the triple jump this time, after finishing second in the event with a career-best leap of 44’11.75”. Kane was named to the All-NESCAC women’s squad, after recording a time of 4:41.41 to finish second in the 1,500-meter run. Orr made the All-NESCAC men’s team, after finishing second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.29.
