Hartford, Conn., July 16 – Trinity men’s ice hockey junior Dan
Gyllstrom (Hudson, Mass.) was selected as the recipient of the
2002-2003 Bob Harron Award as the College’s Outstanding Male Junior
Scholar Athlete.

The Bantam men’s ice hockey squad, coached by John Dunham (29th season), posted a 19-6-2 record and finished second in the NESCAC with a 15-3-1 mark. Trinity won two, 3-2, overtime games and a 4-2 game at Middlebury to capture its first NESCAC Championship title. The Bantams received its first-ever bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, falling at Norwich, 5-4, in the quarterfinals.
Gyllstrom played in 23 games at forward this season, tallying nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points. A two-time, NESCAC All-Academic selection, Gyllstrom is a graduate of Acton-Boxborough High School. He maintains a 3.88 GPA as a computer science major at Trinity.
