Hoppock Named as Trinity's 
Top Senior Female Athlete

Hartford, Conn., July 14 - Field Hockey senior co-captain defender Susan Hoppock (Chevy Chase, Md.) was named the recipient of the Trinity College 2002-03 Trinity Club of Hartford Award as the College’s top senior female athlete.

The Trinity field hockey squad, coached by Anne Parmenter (2nd season) posted a 3-11 record but failed to qualify for the NESCAC Championship Tournament.

Hoppock started all 14 games this fall, leading the team in scoring with three goals and three assists and adding two defensive saves. In her career, Hoppock started all 56 games the team played during her four years with six goals and three assists for 15 points and 15 defensive saves.

Hoppock earned First Team All-NESCAC and Second Team All-New England West Region, chosen by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), honors this fall. She received the team’s Applebee Award for outstanding contributions on the field hockey field and dedication and loyalty to the Bantam program. Also a NESCAC All-Academic selection in 2001 and 2002, Hoppock is a graduate of Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.
