Trinity Supports the
United Way
Members
of the campus community demonstrated once again their generosity and
willingness to help others by turning out in significant numbers to
support the 2004 United Way Campaign. Donations from faculty and staff
members totaled more than $32,000, representing the largest amount
collected since the College started keeping track of dollars raised
nearly a decade ago. 161 current Trinity employees and 10 retirees
made contributions to this year’s effort—an 11 percent increase in
participation over 2003. The average gift was just under $200.
“Trinity
is grateful to all those in our campus family who share in the credit
for the College's outstanding performance on the United Way/Community
Works campaign this year,” says Vice President for Community and
Institutional Relations Kevin Sullivan ’71. “This is one more measure
of Trinity's partnership with the community and those who need our
support to help others.”
