David Norris Leads in Blood Drive
Donations at Trinity
Campus Safety
Officer David Norris was one of 61 people who donated blood during the
highly successful October 28 Trinity College Red Cross Blood Drive
sponsored Psi
Upsilon. Norris, who has been with Trinity for 28 years, is a strong
advocate for blood donation who leads by example. To date he has
donated more than seven gallons of B-positive blood, which he notes
can be used by more than one blood-type recipient.
Norris says that he donates
whenever he can – by Red Cross regulations that’s every 56 days. The
reason, he explains, is simple. “I can’t offer a lot of financial help
to charity, but by donating I can easily help others. In fact, I think
it’s one of the best ways to help. Blood is a universal need and your
donation is available to anyone, regardless of their race, religion,
or economic background.”
