Announces Fulbright Scholarship Winners
Four Trinity students have been awarded the prestigious grant
from the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Sophia Becker '09,
Eliot Fearey '10, Jessica Cote '12 (at left), and a fourth grant recipient from
the Class of 2012, who prefers to remain anonymous, will be heading to
destinations that include Chile, Colombia, Germany, and Panama.

Kosher
Eatery in Mather Hall Is Formally Dedicated May 3 marked the
formal dedication of the Kassow Hillel Kosher Eatery at Trinity, where
Jewish students and students of all faiths can dine on kosher food. The
eatery is named in honor of two distinguished members of the Trinity
community: Lisa Pleskow Kassow, director of Trinity College Hillel, and
Samuel D. Kassow ’66, Charles H. Northam Professor of History.

Film
Festival Makes Its Mark on Trinity
An estimated 300 people came out to festivities surrounding the
inaugural Trinity Film Festival, highlighted by 23 short films
by undergraduates from around the country, screened at Cinestudio. The
prestigious film panel praised the quality of the works at an awards
reception following the screenings.

Women's
Lacrosse Team Takes NCAA National Title
After their first appearance in the NCAA Final Four, the women's
lacrosse team beat number-one ranked and undefeated Salisbury
University to claim the 2012 NCAA Division III Championship title.

Tense, emotional moments reign in this up-close
look at the Trinity men's squash team. AT&T U-Verse captured the 2012
team in a mini-documentary

An estimated 2,500 people came out for the sixth annual Trinity
Samba Fest, held at the Mortensen Riverfront Plaza in downtown
Hartford on May 5.

Watkinson Acquires Copy of Shakespeare's Second Folio
Trinity students and faculty now have access to one of the
earliest editions of the work of the most influential writer in English
literature. The Watkinson Library has joined rarified
company in acquiring a copy of William Shakespeare’s Second
Folio, which is not only limited in number but is famous for the
dedicatory poem to Shakespeare written in 1630 by the English poet
John Milton.
